April 28th 6:30 p.m. at the Jacksonville Town Center.
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Some of the business of the NFL is continuing even as the lockout that has put the 2011 season in jeopardy continues.
The NFL draft will be held as scheduled over a three-day period beginning April 28 at the Jacksonville Town Center, and the Jaguars will be holding a draft party for the 17th consecutive year.
The public is invited.
The free party will begin at 6:30 p.m. on the 28th at The Markets at Town Center. That is near Whisky River, BlackFinn, Bento Sushi, Moochi, Panda Express, Pollo Tropical, Zaxby’s, and the new Seasons 52.
Fans will be able to mingle with former Jaguars players and get autographs. There will be a performance by the 2011 ROAR of the Jaguars and the D-Line, and drawings for prizes and a visit by mascot Jaxson de Ville.
The fate of the 2011 season has yet to be determined, but the players are not allowed into any NFL facilities until they and the owners can reach a new labor agreement.
