Tebow back to Jacksonville, to open PDQ

Tim Tebow will be coming back to Jacksonville but this time he’s taking his talents to the restaurant business.

According to Sleiman Enterprises, the Tampa based restaurant chain called PDQ, for which Tebow is an investor, will be setting up shop in an empty lot inside the Hodges Pointe Shopping Center.

adjacent to Bob Evans and Miller’s Jacksonville Ale House in a Walmart-anchored Hodges Point selling center. EWI Construction will build a restaurant, estimated to cost $1.1 million, according to a permit.

The second location will be at

at the Publix- and Kohl’s-anchored Shoppes at Bartram Park.
Crews are expected to break ground as early as May.

Toney Sleiman says it’s a project that has been in the works for the past six months.

“If you know what an In and Out Burger is and a lot people that have been out west know, this is the In and Out of chicken,” said Sleiman.

Sleiman says the location was hand-picked by Tebow himself. Now it’s just a matter of getting city permits approved.
